But as for flash drives and various memory cards, then their counting system is based on the calculation of information transfer, which means for them 1 kilobytes of memory is 1000 bytes.

How do I know the actual memory capacity of the flash drive? As an example, let's calculate the volume of a flash drive of 1 gigabyte:

1 gigabyte = 1 billion Bytes.
Sharing 1 000 000 000 bytes per 1024 (megabytes, kilobytes and bytes): 1 000 000 000/1024/1024/1024, get 0,9313 or 931 mb.
From the amount received, we subtract the amount of memory allocated to the reserve and file system. At the output we have not 1 GB, but 895-925 mb (the difference will depend on the reserve, file system and flash drive itself).
